One sunny day, Poppo came to a town
near the sea.
Seagulls were flying above the seashore
that had many ships waiting
for its turn to sail out.
“This is such a fascinating place
as the central city”,
said Poppo
and he stood on an electric wire,
observing the road.
It was wider compared to the city
with fewer passengers.
A wagon with fish on its back passed
the sign of the main street.
Then Poppo found a straw hat boy
on the road,
who he met in the train before.
“Hi! Hi again!”
The boy looked up
when Poppo called at loud.
“Ah! You are the train-riding-pigeon!”
“I came to see the sea today.
Hmm…By the way, I’m hungry.
Are there any popcorn in this city?”
“Probably.
I came to see the sea as well.
Would you come with me?”
Poppo flew and sat on the boy’s hat,
and the two walked to the store.
A few minutes later,
they could see a girl in afar,
waving her hands
in front of the Boss-Burger store.
She looked a bit younger than Piyon,
with her dress
in light green like a spring leaf.
“Oh, no”,
said Piyon who attempted to turn his way,
but the girl ran
and came excitedly towards the two.
“Hi, Piyon!
I haven’t seen you for a while,
how are you?
What are you doing here?
Oh is that your pet pigeon,
that is so cute!
I recently…”
As the girl kept on talking,
Poppo asked Piyon.
“Your girlfriend?”
“Friend. Lily, the fairy of the leave”
“She clearly loves talking”
Piyon interrupted Lily and said,”
Okay, good to know you're doing well.
We came to see the sea today,
and we are going to eat lunch
somewhere near”
“Really, me too! Then let’s go together,
I was also hungry
after walking for so long…”
The two went inside the store following Lily.
On the menu in large,
there were plenty of foods
that Poppo never knew.
Poppo jumped and flapped his wings
“Wow, so many foods!”
“What should I choose?”
said Piyon.
“I want a hamburger!
Look, this must be tasty!”
Lily answered him enthusiastically.
“Yes, I’ll do the same”
“Okay, two hamburgers!
How about you mister pigeon?”
“Popcorn!”
“Sounds great and great~!”
The three walked out of the store
with warm bags in their hands,
and walked to the sea again.
(The story continues!)
